Duties & Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities of the ADO include, but may not be limited to:

Position Overview

NICHOLAS AIR is looking to hire an Assistant Chief Pilot. This role is responsible for supervision of assigned crewmembers and ensuring that the highest levels of safety and professionalism are adhered to in flight operations. The Assistant Chief Pilot reports directly to the Chief Pilot.

Overall Responsibilities of an Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP) include, but may not be limited to:

An ACP shall report to and assist the Chief Pilot with directing and administering daily flight operations in accordance with established company policy and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety and professionalism.

ACP authority includes supervision of assigned flight crewmembers to direct and guide operations in compliance with company standards and applicable rules and regulations. This includes:

Position Overview

The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the operation and management of the 145 Repair station and its personnel.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support on a variety of tasks
  • Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation
  • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action
  • Represents NICHOLAS AIR as one company internally and externally with industry groups and regulatory bodies

  • Collaborates with senior management to develop and implement the department’s annual business plan and budget based on goals and objectives for the company
  • Makes periodic inspections of the working area and takes necessary steps to correct any discrepancies related to safety, cleanliness, organization, or general housekeeping practices

  • Provides the Director of Operations with the current airworthiness status of aircraft under the Part 91 and Part 135 fleet, forecasting downtimes to facilitate maintenance scheduling at optimal times and ensure timely deferral or correction of aircraft discrepancies
  • Coordinates with senior management, officers, and owners on matters related to business operations
  • The VP of Maintenance may delegate some of these duties, but retains overall responsibility

Minimum Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience within general aviation maintenance operations, including Part 135, and equivalent operational experience to include familiarity with aircraft maintenance scheduling, team management, and customer relations
  • 5+ years in Supervisor or Management role
  • Must have knowledge of, and maintain a current file of all applicable FARs
  • Comprehensive understanding of aviation industry
  • Experience managing mixed-level team members of professionals and managers

Position Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance Controller is responsible for managing mechanical irregularities and planning for the accomplishment of all scheduled maintenance activities. The Maintenance Controller will work with Maintenance, Scheduling, and Flight Operations to coordinate the workload for maintenance operations based upon fleet requirements. This position is a member of a team that arranges and manages the timely and efficient delivery of aircraft maintenance support to aircraft operations as required, on a 24/7 basis. The position shall ensure that all services performed meet the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations prior to return to service and provide maximum airworthy aircraft availability.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide clear information affecting maintenance status, action plans, return to service estimates, and other technical information as required to Flight Operations, Management, and Maintenance Department personnel
  • Communicate directly with flight crew members when operational discrepancies are discovered, and obtain all necessary information needed by technicians to perform prompt and effective repairs
  • Utilize maintenance tracking computer systems and accomplish the planning, scheduling, and logistics to complete all scheduled maintenance activities within the requirements of the aircraft inspection programs
  • Update Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program with verified compliance information using audited return to service documentation
  • Update Flight Operations Software in real-time, indicating aircraft fleet maintenance status

Essential Functions

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

To work as a member of the MRT MRO team, this role focuses on maintenance activities and work scope of customer aircraft. Identify and correct issues for malfunctioning aircraft mechanical components and systems. Perform a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet and turboprop aircraft and assist with scheduling and coordination for other crew members. Help coordinate and communicate aircraft issues, adding squawks as required, responding to customer inquiries, and is responsible for assuring customer satisfaction by coordinating with MRO team. Help oversee the maintenance of the MRT by ensuring the vehicle is always properly serviced and roadworthy.

Travel

Position Overview

NICHOLAS AIR is seeking a full-time Fuel Analyst to join its growing team. This position is executive-facing and takes ownership of ensuring the efficiency of the Company’s fuel consumption and adherence with fuel pricing and vendor standards, as well as price negotiation with individual providers.

The ideal person for this role has at least some base of aviation knowledge and has a proven track record of working with vendors, negotiating pricing programs, and understands the importance of timely follow-up. The Fuel Analyst is a full-time position based out of the corporate office in Oxford, Mississippi.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly manages the Company’s fuel pricing and consumption efficiency by working together across several departments of Flight Support, Accounting, Flight Operations, and Senior Leadership
  • Responsible for creating scalable reporting systems to track effectiveness and compliance with the program by flight crews
  • Work with Senior Leadership to determine best practices for achieving fuel savings throughout the entire fleet
  • Work directly with FBOs and Fuel Vendors to ensure that the Company is receiving the best possible fuel rate for a given location

NICHOLAS AIR is adding a Parts Manager to our growing team. The Parts Manager is responsible for supplying Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with their parts and tool needs, and maintaining records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment in support of the 135 Operation/145 Repair Station.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the disposition of approved parts
  • Responsible for the disposition of tool calibrations
  • Initiates parts order requisitions when stock levels fall below minimum
  • Maintains physical inventories for OSS stock, Nicholas Air stock and Corr Aviation stock
  • Produces shipping/receiving paperwork and systems input
  • Maintains files to track parts and shipments
  • Lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds throughout the day
  • Maintain cycle counts
  • Provide routine administrative support and answer incoming phone calls
  • Incoming inspection on received parts per the FAA 145 repair station manual
  • Ensures customers are billed correctly for parts used in maintenance of aircraft
  • Track down cores and scrap at vendor partners and work with partners to retrieve the materials
  • Receive and record materials
  • Inspect parts for obvious damage, inspect paperwork for errors
  • Ensure inventory summary is continually updated based on production jobs
  • Verify Open Stock and Materials, keeping accurate documentation for product orders
  • Request and record quotes/bids for parts and keeps current on availability to avoid delays in sourcing as needed
  • Direct monthly product inventory, process verifications and keep spreadsheets up to date
  • Record and maintain parts purchase records, which provide an audit trail on all purchases, including physical annual inventory of all parts
  • Inspect shelf-life items and perform cycle counts
  • Maintain cycle counts, printouts, and corrections
  • Follow up with vendors for shipments and tracking numbers as required
  • Manage freight as required, complete Hazmat shipping training as required
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
  • Provide continuous improvement suggestions
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas by keeping parts room neat and orderly, performing required housekeeping and provide updates as needed
  • Work on a shift schedule and be part of weekend and late night on-call rotation providing AOG parts as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; a year related experience and/or training is preferred
  • Aviation experience highly preferred.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new computer programs.
  • Basic data entry skills required.

This position will be responsible for effectively organizing company aircraft to maximize utility and serve our customer needs.   • Coordinate with the Flight Scheduling Department on all trips
  • Ensure the appropriate crew is assigned to the applicable airplane on assigned trips
