Making it to the NICHOLAS AIR flight line requires you to meet a very stringent set of quality standards, with less than 5% of candidate applications being selected.

Captain: $150K$340K
First Officer: $100K$290K
Fleet Managers: $250K$500K
Black Jet: $300K$500K

It is no secret that being selected to be a part of the NICHOLAS AIR flight line is challenging and requires an unwavering level of integrity. The BLUE TIES and BLUE EPAULETTES, recognizable by passengers and pilots all across the country, are worn only by the most professional, courteous, and dedicated pilots in the industry. It is a badge of honor that is never just handed out, but earned, and earned the right way.

NICHOLAS AIR believes in incentivizing and promoting based on performance and offers a tier-based pay structure with periodic advancements. Pilots can increase their earnings through Non-Rotation Day pay and other bonuses when flight time milestones are met. On average, NICHOLAS AIR pilots earn an additional 15% above their base tier salary through company flight incentives. With no obligation and unlimited potential, the sky truly is the limit for how much you can earn.

NICHOLAS AIR Pilot applicants must pass a high bar of requirements in order to be considered for a position on our exclusive flight line. Once your application is submitted, it will only be reviewed and progress through the process if you meet or exceed these requirements. All pilots are employed by NICHOLAS AIR and must hold an Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial License depending upon position assignment. In addition, the following is a list of required characteristics for an ideal candidate:

  • Qualified PIC candidates are required to have 3500 hours total time. Competitive candidates will have previous Part 135 or Part 121 Jet PIC experience
  • Exude the highest level of customer service with emphasis on exceeding Member expectations
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for the company
  • Flexible to fluctuating flight schedules
  • Team player displaying the utmost respect for fellow team members
  • Proactively strive for maximum efficiency and continuous improvement

The NICHOLAS AIR fleet includes Pilatus PC-12s, Phenom 100, Citation CJ3+, Phenom 300, Citation Latitude, Challenger 350 & Gulfstream G600 jets. To ensure the best experience and most reliable service, the NICHOLAS AIR fleet has an average aircraft age under five years and is privately Owned and Operated.

NICHOLAS AIR Pilot Schedules:

  • 8 Days on Rotation / 6 Days Off
  • 15 Days on Rotation / 13 Days Off
  • 22 Days on Rotation / 8 Days Off (Select Pilots May Qualify)

The NICHOLAS AIR fleet is a thing of beauty. Ranging from the Very Light class Phenom 100 to the Super Midsize Challenger 350 and the new addition of the Heavy Jet Gulfstream G600, our fleet covers the full spectrum of private jet aircraft. Additionally, with an average age fleet of only 5 years, our pilots are secure in the knowledge that they are operating the best, most efficient, and more importantly, safest aircraft in the industry.
