NicholasAir looks to add mid-size jets to its fleet

While our customers could not be happier with the Pilatus PC-12, NicholasAir plans to add mid-size jets for those that need the extra time savings on longer trips. Trips that are less than 500miles, a jet becomes very inefficient. The Pilatus can fly a 500 mile trip very close to the same time as a jet. Jets only become efficient when they can climb to high altitudes and stay there. Distances of 500miles and less do not enable a jet to do this. With the saturated air ways and ATC catering to the airlines, private jets have to stay low longer and descend earlier into airports which greatly reduce their speed and efficiency. By using a jet for trips less than 500miles offers very little in time savings and cost over twice the amount in expenses. Having access to a Pilatus PC-12 and Mid-size jet gives our customers a wider range of options. We look at an aircraft as a valuable business tool that should be economical and make sense. By enabling our customer to have access to both types of aircraft, offers value, and savings that makes jet ownership a justifiable expense.  For longer trips that our customers need the extra time savings, a jet can give them the added benefits of getting to more meetings on a closer timeline.
